About Perth Hypnosis Centre
The Perth Hypnosis Centre team:
Phil HarrisonSpecialist Hypnotherapist / EFT Practitioner
In 2003 Phil encountered a young lady by the name of Emma Bailey, who ran a hypnotherapy practice in West Perth. After teasing her mercilessly about whale mating music and crystals, Emma challenged Phil with a hypnosis session to show him the reality of the subconscious.
Forty minutes later, Phil had been cured of a lifelong fear of heights and plane flight and actually flew to Sydney the following weekend and completed the Harbour Bridge climb, something he could never have dreamed to do.
Now understanding the reality, Phil began research into hypnotherapy and over eleven years has gained knowledge and accreditation from some of the most respected societies in the world.
He is board qualified with both the American and Professional Board of Hypnotherapy, is a member of the Association of Ethical and Professional Hypnotherapists and is a Clinical Member of The Australian Hypnotherapists Association of Australia (AHA) and is listed on the Medical Register of Australia and The National Hypnotherapists Register of Australia (NHRA).
Carol VaughanSpecialist Hypnotherapist / Counsellor
After receiving her Counselling Degree at The University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2004, Carol embarked keenly into the world of psychology, practicing in the areas of domestic violence, self esteem, anxiety, couples therapy and health life coaching. She loved her work and found the effect on people’s lives was deeply satisfying.
On the other hand, Phil Harrison of Perth Hypnosis Centre kept intriguing her with his passion about hypnosis and its incredible immediacy and impact on his client’s long term habits and fears.
Curiosity drove Carol to explore it for herself. That first encounter with hypnosis was so personally empowering that it was enough to catapult her into a whole new professional direction and specialisation. Hence, after adding Clinical Hypnotherapy to her Counselling degree, she seized the offer to join Phil and Tracy’s team at Perth Hypnosis Centre in 2008.
Similar to the way Phil’s enthusiasm affected her, she realised people sensed her confidence in the dynamic impact that hypnosis can have, launching them into a freshly desired direction for their lives. Carol found every session has its magic, brought by the client’s unique needs, desire and determination to deal with some unwanted aspect of their life. She found it very satisfying to share the joy of men and women as they take the time to report back their success and of course, she found no better reward than when they referred friends and loved ones along to Perth Hypnosis Centre.
“Neuroscience has long held a fascination for me and I am increasingly amazed over what it reveals about the workings of the brain, especially around relieving anxiety, a subject I feel passionate about. It has deeply enriched my practice as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, particularly in sessions where anxiety is problematic. Neuroscience validates how incredibly simple and effective ways relief can be found from debilitating anxiety and naturally, my favourite is the calming effect of Hypnosis. If you want to know more, it would be a joy for me to pay it forward as new findings unfold.”
"There is hope to be pursued and realised for each one of us. I can see myself working with hypnosis for a long, long time to come."
